Sayre Kos
Associate Editor
By the time you read this, we’ll know who the 44th President of the United States will be. Our new president will be busy trying to fix the financial mess our nation faces, as well as fight two wars and appease angry citizens from sea to shining sea. Regardless of which political party sits in the oval office, though, we’re sure to see activity in environmental and energy legislation from Congress. As you strategize both long- and short-term goals, remember to think green. It’ll be in your own best interests to do so.

Another new guy has entered your professional space. Flexible Packaging is pleased to welcome Sayre Kos as our new Associate Editor. (Senior Editor Mary Gustafson left us a couple weeks ago when she got promoted to Managing Editor for a sister publication here at BNP Media.)

Sayre (pronounced say-ear) will be working with me on developing and producing articles for the magazine and our website at www.flexpackmag.com.

Previously, Sayre was Associate Editor at White River Productions, publisher of Scale Rails and Railroads Illustrated magazines. He was also a correspondent for Trains, the leading magazine of railroading. Both jobs allowed Sayre to apply and advance his personal interest in the railroad industry.

In 2007, Sayre earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Writing from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. In addition to strong researching and writing skills, he also specializes in photography and public speaking.

You can reach Sayre at 847-405-4026 or koss@bnpmedia.com.

Both Sayre and I will be at the CPP Expo/Pack Expo shows. If you see us in the aisles, please stop us and say “Hello!” We’d love to meet you.
