PRINT 09, the year’s largest and most comprehensive print-centric trade show, will come to Chicago’s McCormick Place Sept. 11-16, 2009. The six-day event, themed “myPRINT,” will include PackPrint, an all-inclusive packaging printing trade-show-within-a-trade-show.

PackPrint, making its debut at Graphic Arts Show Co.’s PRINT 09, covers 49,000 square feet and explores the biggest trends in flexible packaging, including radio frequency identification (RFID), digital printing, flexographic printing, printed electronics and label production. PackPrint also features a free presentation titled “Global Trends in Packaging” on Saturday, Sept. 12, where attendees will learn about challenges facing and opportunities awaiting the package printing industry.

To ensure a robust and productive show for attendees—who, according to show research, react positively to live, hands-on demonstrations involving operating machinery and processes—show management supported PRINT 09 exhibitors with subsidies for machinery and material handling.

To round out the show-going experience, PRINT 09 will feature several show floor pavilions, including GREENspace, an area dedicated entirely to the sustainability trend. Further, the exhibition will offer a full educational seminar program with more than 90 sessions in 14 knowledge categories, including forming a tactical plan for sustainability and color management in printing and packaging. n
