In 2005, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) and Chemsultants Int'l. formed an Alliance for Excellence in Tape Testing. PSTC and Chemsultants formed the Alliance to provide educational opportunities and resources on proven tape testing methods and state-of-the-art tape testing equipment.

Over the past five years, the relationship has continued to grow and has now taken a new turn. With its state-of-the-art technical facility in Mentor, Ohio, Chemsultants Int'l. has been selected as the preferred hands-on training facility for the Council membership and other industry members.

In September, a new PSTC Education Program focused on “Manufacturing and Testing” will be held at the Mentor facility. This program is one part of the PSTC Education series offering training from fundamentals to advanced concepts. This new module will provide true hands-on experience in the testing laboratory as well as on actual 24-inch wide pilot coating, laminating and converting equipment. Another program is still being developed for the summer of 2011, which will focus on applications for PSA Tape developed for technical and sales specialists in the business.
