The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership, Loveland, Ohio, welcomed in early August the continued support of Gold Patrons Durst and DuPont Packaging Graphics, as well as Mohawk Fine Papers, newly upgraded to Gold from Silver level. The continued support of these industry-leading companies demonstrates both their commitment to sustainability in the graphic communication industry and their belief in SGP's role in facilitating this endeavor.

"We are excited to see these leading companies continue their sustainability journey with the SGP Partnership,” states Marcia Kinter, SGP Board of Directors Chair. “Each of these businesses understands the importance of sustainability in today's marketplace and has chosen to support the SGP Partnership's leadership role of setting sustainability benchmarks for the graphic communications industry. With the synergies of like-minded organizations working together, sustainability certification is growing to become an adopted standard in the graphic communication industry.”

Durst is a 75-year-old manufacturer of professional large- and grand-format digital imaging systems for a variety of commercial and industrial applications. Durst’s commitment to environmental integrity extends beyond its decision to offer UV-curable inkjet systems to the company's entire sequence of manufacturing and operating processes.

DuPont Packaging Graphics is a major supplier of flexographic printing systems in digital and conventional formats.

Mohawk Fine Papers offers the world's largest collection of premium papers with superior environmental attributes. Its triple bottom line includes print performance, environmental ethics, and economic value. Mohawk papers are engineered to provide optimal performance for sheetfed, web, and digital presses. Its products includes papers made with 100% post consumer waste, FSC-certified papers, Green Seal certified papers, carbon-neutral papers, and process-chlorine free papers. Mohawk offsets 100% of the electricity used to manufacture its papers by Green-e certified windpower renewable energy certificates (RECs).

The SGP Partnership is a non-profit organization that promotes reducing the environmental impact and increasing the social responsibility of the print and graphic communication industry through sustainable green printing practices.
