Polyolefins 2011 Conference sets date, calls for papers

The 23rd International Polyolefins Conference will take place in Houston, Texas, from February 27 to March 2, 2011, it was announced by the South Texas Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE, www.4spe.org), Newtown, Conn.

The South Texas Section issued a call for papers for the conference, which will be themed “Evolving Technology for the Global Economy.”

Submissions will be peer-reviewed for technical quality, originality, style, and relevance, with sensitivity to the use of commercial references. Abstracts are welcome on any topic involving polyolefins or flexible packaging, but the following topic areas are of particular interest:

Polyolefins in Durable Applications  
Packaging Sustainability–End of Life Issues
Reinforced Polyolefins and Nanotechnology
Polyolefin Modifications and Chemistry
Catalyst and Process Advances    
Polyolefin Stabilization Advances
Applications of Polyolefins
Polyolefin Testing and Characterization
High Performance Polyolefins
Specialty Applications of Polyolefins
Packaging Sustainability and Regulatory
Polyolefins in Non-Woven Fibers
New Packaging Advances: Materials, Structures
Processing of Polyolefins
