Lenze-ac Tech announced the release of its PROFIBUS-DP communication module, positioning the company’s SMVector as a truly global product.

PROFIBUS-DP joins DeviceNet, CANopen and ModBus/RS485 as the fourth communication option for the SMVector drive. According to company officials, the streamlined pop-in modules can be factory-installed or simply inserted into an already existing SMVector. As a result, the SMVector becomes compatible in almost every machine environment, and users can maintain their own communication preferences.
