Film line supervisory tool now includes thermal imaging

The Supercom Supervisory and Control System for blown and cast film lines now includes a thermal imaging system that allows converters to monitor bubble temperatures from any computer with an internet connection. One or more infrared cameras targeted at specific points on the bubble monitor temperatures: This data is then displayed in real-time and archived by the system for future analysis. Alarms to signal abnormal temperatures can be easily programmed and may be created to generate an e-mail (with a screen snapshot attachment) to offsite personnel when temperature-related problems arise. Upgraded software provides users with analysis, alarm and scheduling tools and the opportunity to adjust camera settings.
