The Flexible Packaging Association will hold its 2008 Safety Conference & Environmental Summit at The TradeWinds Island Grand Resort in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida from January 23-25. These back-to-back events will provide guidance on complying with environmental and safety regulations specific to the flexible packaging industry, excellent opportunities to interact with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. EPA and U.S. OSHA officials, and network with industry peers.

The Safety Conference & Environmental Summit is specifically geared toward environmental, health and safety professionals and managers at the corporate and plant levels. These events are open to both FPA members and non-members. 2008 Safety Conference

The 2008 Safety Conference (January 23) will provide several industry-focused case studies and presentations including Developing Safety Culture: A Business Value, Handling Fire Episodes, On Press Fire Management & Control, Chemicals Purchase Review Process, Safety & Risk Management of Contractors, Material Handling Guidelines: A Case Study and Injury Management: A Case Study.


2008 Environmental Summit

FPA’s Environmental Summit (January 24-25) will examine key environmental topics and issues such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security: Security Requirements and Challenges, Applicability and Challenges of Nanotechnology, an Update on the REACH Implementation, Investing in Energy, Sustainability, the U.S. EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation Program Priorities, Control Techniques Guidelines, Risk and Technology Review, National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Ozone, Management & Recycling of Hazardous Waste and Flexible Permitting & Emissions Factors Uncertainty.
