The new press by Comexi Group was developed by the Catalan company's R&D&I team, and heralds a turning point in flexible packaging printing. COMEXI OFFSET CI8 fully adapts offset technology to printing on plastic films. The new press surpasses the quality of flexo and gravure printing – leading technologies in the flexible packaging industry – and also delivers the advantages of offset to this specific sector. The main characteristics of the COMEXI OFFSET CI8, which will be premiered at Drupa, include its productivity, performance and efficiency. Besides being the only model on the market with a central impression drum, it is totally sustainable, since it uses solvent-free EB inks.
During the Trade Fair, dedicated to the print media sector, Comexi Group will be presenting other novelties which highlight the company's spirit of sustainable and efficient innovation, this demonstrating its commitment to the planet.
Together with BASF, it will be presenting the COMEXI FLEXO F2 press, which features the COMEXI Cingular modules for managing pressure adjustments and registrations, significantly reducing waste while delivering greater accessibility, easy maintenance and energy saving. The company will also be presenting its water-based inks with BASF resins. These inks offer improved sustainability and reduced cost in use while maintaining a high level of printability and print quality.
Another one of the solutions presented at the Trade Fair will be the new s-Turret model of the COMEXI PROSLIT slitting and rewinding unit, which visitors will be able to see in operation. With this new model the company will be offering its products to the rigid and semi-rigid slitting and self-adhesive material sector. The new COMEXI ACOM rotogravure printing technology, featuring new drying units with enhanced performance, will also be on show.
At Drupa, COMEXI NEXUS will also be showcasing the NEXUS OPTIMA 450 model, a new drying module with a rotogravure trolley with closed-chamber doctor blade and a self-cleaning system which underlines the Group's commitment to reduce emissions and increase productivity. All the Comexi Group novelties will be on show in Hall 10 C62 of the Drupa Trade Fair.
