USON, pioneer of automated leak detection equipment for the automotive, industrial, medical device and packaging industries, announces the appointment of an award-winning veteran of the automated instrumentation industry, Charles D. Foran Jr. (Dave), as USON president.
Foran brings more than 35 years of experience leading diverse organizations and a proven track record of executive leadership to guide strategic planning, product development, engineering, sales and marketing, joint venture relationships and most recently harnessing Internet-based opportunities to spur business growth initiatives.
Foran says, “I am extremely pleased with the opportunity to help USON, the market leader in leak detection instruments, go to the next level. USON will soon celebrate 50 years in business and my goal is to enable USON to leverage the power of the Internet to set a whole new standard in how USON reaches out to the marketplace and to our customers."
Foran is also pleased to announce the appointment of Gene Grilli to be USON global sales director.
Originally hired by USON in 1994 after his accomplished 8+ year tenure as a nuclear submarine missile technician for the US Navy, Grilli has served USON in numerous capacities since, including: launching the USON service department; becoming a sales engineer and later the operations manager of USON’s Detroit Office; midwest regional sales manager; global automotive manager; international sales manager; and now culminating in this promotion to global sales director.
Commenting on the extraordinary value that Grilli adds to the USON team and its ability to provide top tier service to USON customers, Foran comments, “There are few individuals in the industry with the experience and range of market experiences that Gene possesses. His rise through the ranks is a reflection of that expertise and his steadfast determination to always find the best leak detection solution for each customer. Gene personifies the “can do” spirit that has enabled USON to be at the forefront of leak testing for nearly half a century.
