Packaging Corporation Rotogravure Printing and Laminating facility in Columbus,
WI recently received recognition from Governor Scott Walker. In recognition of
American Packaging’s 40th Anniversary in Wisconsin and its vital
part of the Columbus community through civic and charitable contributions, the
Governor proclaimed Saturday, June 23, 2012 as American Packaging Corporation
Day throughout the State of Wisconsin.
Governor Walker also acknowledged the recent completion of the
facility’s $17.5 million expansion. The
project included the purchase of several new pieces of equipment, facility
upgrades as well as 100,000 square feet additional operating space and the
hiring of approximately 50 new employees.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by the
State of Wisconsin as a company dedicated to supporting the community and its
employees. American Packaging Corporation’s Board of
Directors continues to demonstrate their commitment to the Columbus plant with
this recent expansion. We are equipped with the latest in technology and are
poised to compete in most any arena” says Jeff Koch, operations manager for the
facility.
