The new SG-6 Box Pouch Making Machine uses the company’s patented Box Pouch technology to produce side-gusset, bottom seal bags with flat bottoms at speeds up to 100 bags per minute. The gusset terminates, making for a clean, easy to open bag. The system offers a number of advantages over traditional pouches. For example, “zipper” box pouches converted on the SG-6 are more compact and structurally stable than traditional stand-up pouches, which reduces film consumption by up to 15% and maximizes retail store shelf utilization. The finished bags also use the same fill-seal equipment as traditional stand-up pouches, allowing end users to seamlessly transition to the more efficient product. The leak-proof flat bottom stand-up pouch has five panels, each that can have registered print. The side panels are formed with a secondary web, which can incorporate a clear material that allows consumers to see the contents. Reclosability features can include slider and press-to-close zippers, as well as pour spouts.
