The Goldstar doctor blade uses a specialized coating to reduce wear and friction at its contact point. The reduction in friction lowers the amount of drag on the anilox roller, meaning reduced wear and energy savings when compared to drag created by other coated and non-coated doctor blades. Available in blade thicknesses of 0.20, 0.25 and 0.30 millimeters (0.008, 0.010 and 0.012 inches), the blade’s slow-wear coating maintains a sharp wiping edge for consistently high print quality and longer blade life.
