NimCor offers a full line-up of small diameter air shafts ideal for special converting applications. These unique shafts are custom-engineered to achieve critical performance and strength parameters needed for safe and efficient winding on small diameter cores. Steel bodies are used for strength, aluminum bodies specified for reduced weight. Button patterns and configurations are recommended according to each application. Diameters as small as 5/8 inch (1.6 centimeters) are common. Small diameter shafts for thin wall core or coreless applications are available, as are leaf shafts down to 1.25 inch (3.2 centimeters) diameter.
