ICE USA 2013 is shaping up to be one of the most robust educational events in the converting industry. While a few details are still being finalized, five of the industry's leading associations will be offering a variety of insightful seminars designed to keep converting professionals on the cutting edge of new trends and technologies.

The one-day seminars are on April 8, the day before the exhibition hall opens at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The pre-show offerings include educational seminars from AWA, CEMA, TAPPI PLACE, PSTC and RadTech.

AIMCAL will anchor and sponsor the ICE USA Conference with comprehensive technical sessions featuring key insights from some of the industry's leading experts. The sessions are designed to provide converting professionals with the knowledge they can use to enhance the performance and productivity of their companies. The three days of conference sessions are divided into three tracks:

• Web Coating, Laminating and Printing

• Web Handling and Converting

• Adhesives and Adhesion

In order to allow attendees ample time to also visit the Show floor, all of AIMCAL's sessions will conclude by noon.

Converting Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) returns to the pre-Show conference program on April 8, with presentations that will highlight some of the most important issues impacting converting industry professionals. CEMA will present Fundamentals for Converters consisting of two concurrent seminars, Coating and Laminating Technical seminar and Slitting and Rewinding seminar.

Also returning to the pre-Show conference is TAPPI PLACE. The leading association for the worldwide pulp, paper, packaging, and converting industries will be presenting Flexible Packaging Symposium: New Technologies, which is a full-day event. Their 2011 seminar was very well received by packed audiences of converters from around the world with topics that included new developments of renewable and sustainable applications.

New to ICE USA 2013 are RadTech, AWA and PSTC. RadTech will present Enabling Innovation in Packaging with Ultraviolet (UV) & Electron Beam (EB) Curable Inks, Coatings, & Adhesives. This informative seminar will highlight the advantages and benefits of using the environmentally friendly UV and EB curing methods.

Anderson Watson and Associates (AWA) will host the AWA DecTecTM (Decoration Technologies) seminar that will highlight insights on labeling and product decoration. AWA's seminar will provide attendees with the foundation for making informed decisions across the value chain, as well as knowledge about the decorating technology available to ensure the future growth of their businesses.

Meanwhile, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) seminar is Understanding and Selecting PSA Tapes for the Converting Industry. The seminar will address the various tools and applications to help converters understand the many uses and benefits of pressure-sensitive adhesive products.

Armed with knowledge from the various educational programming, attendees will then be able to see the technology in action on the Show floor. Featuring all the latest machinery and equipment from over 300 exhibiting companies, the Show floor is open all three days.
