Pack Expo International proved to be a relevant tool in the flexible packaging market; but so is our Suppliers Guide.

I’ve been to my fair share of large tradeshows, but nothing compares to the massive square footage and impressive booth lineups that Pack Expo International 2010 offered.

Chock full of equipment, tools, materials, informative classes, resources and organizations and product innovations, Pack Expo has proven to be the place to be for those involved in packaging.

There are booths that include huge machinery, running all day long, to do a myriad of packaging, filling, sealing, etc. Materials used are also showcased, including in the heavily flexible packaging-centric CPP Hall. Tucked in the Lakeside East Hall, this area was a major resource for anyone involved in the converting industry.

If you missed this year’s show, you can only be thankful that you didn’t have to fight through the crowds. I think I put in enough exercise to cover the following month just walking the 1 million net square foot show floor. Just make sure you’re prepared for next year’s Pack Expo 2011, in Las Vegas. Now that is going to be another great workout.

For those of you who were unable to attend Pack Expo this year, you’re in luck. This month’s combination November/December issue concentrates on the Suppliers’ Guide.

The Suppliers’ Guide is a comprehensive source for products and services your company needs for superior converting and printing of flexible packaging. Whether in search of bag machinery, polyester film or contract converters, you'll find it all here, in this unique easy-to-use Suppliers’ Guide.

The print Guide is organized into two general sections: Product Guide/Supplier Directory and an Ad Index. Search more than 250 products and services, or by supplier name. The ad index is also a quick search for suppliers.

The Suppliers’ Guide is available in two additional user-friendly formats. Our digital edition replicates the print issue, and is accessible on your computer or mobile device.

The online edition at www.flexpackmag.com/guide has expanded company listings and features. For those companies in print with the star symbol, you'll find online product information documents, photos, videos and more.

There is even a convenient Request for Proposal feature, to request information or get a more detailed proposal from multiple companies at one time.

This is the comprehensive Guide to have on hand for pertinent information on those in-the-know. Make sure you keep the Flexible Packaging Suppliers’ Guide on hand for 2011 to find the best suppliers serving our industry.

Best wishes to you and your family. I hope that 2011 brings you much fulfillment and success.

Sincerely,

Erin J. Wolford
