The Guidance will help FPA members assess and measure specific metrics including greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water use, and generated waste. FPA will also conduct a webinar to review the Guidance and discuss metrics reporting.
Additionally, FPA remains deeply invested in assisting members identify potential end-of-life options for flexible packaging. FPA has commissioned Earth Engineering Center of Columbia University to explore the most promising technologies for resource recovery from flexible packaging waste. The next phase of this research will include the launch of a pilot program to collect and test flexible packaging waste as feedstock for the production of energy.
