DuPont Packaging Graphics announced the planned start-up of
the new DuPont Cyrel round manufacturing facility at its site in Neu-Isenburg, Germany. Cyrel round sleeve
production will begin in the first quarter of 2012.
“This investment extends our capability to supply the
growing global demand for flexographic print sleeves and demonstrates our
commitment to advancing flexography around the world,” says Matthias Heinzel,
global business director – DuPont Packaging Graphics. “Continuous flexo sleeves
are lightweight, easy-to-handle print forms that enable quick change-over on
press; and their seamless design enables high press speeds and the capability
to print difficult-to-register, high-quality designs.”
“The Neu-Isenburg facility assures European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) customers of reliable
long-term supply with the shorter lead times customers now require,” states
Bjorn Meth, regional director EMEA – DuPont Packaging Graphics. "The
Neu-Isenburg facility also will manufacture Cyrel round sleeves for both
solvent and thermal processes.”
The startup of the EMEA Cyrel round manufacturing facility is the third phase
of the global introduction. The North American and initial European product
roll-outs resulted in new product adoptions within a sizable and growing
customer base. North American production of Cyrel round sleeves was announced
in October 2010.
