- Asia Pacific. In his new role, Schmidt will be responsible for sales growth
throughout Asia, South America and other emerging markets, with additional
responsibility for Maxcess factories and offices in Japan, India, Singapore and Brazil.
Formerly vice president of market development, Schmidt has
directly contributed to the success of Maxcess during his 34-year tenure with
the company, holding various leadership positions within manufacturing, sales,
marketing and corporate development. Schmidt has also demonstrated Maxcess’
commitment to the improvement of the web handling industry through active
participation in industry associations.
Most recently, Schmidt served as president and board trustee of
the Converting Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA). Schmidt is a current
board member of the Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and
Laminators (AIMCAL), and Chairman of the AIMCAL Web Handling Group and AWEB
conference.
