DuPont Packaging announces the call for entries in the 25th DuPont Awards
for Packaging Innovation, the industry’s longest running, independently judged
competition.
“Over the years, packaging innovations selected as winners of the DuPont
Award have changed the way we live. In reaching the program’s 25th year,
we would like to particularly recognize breakthroughs that reduce food waste, a
pressing need globally. The program will retain its focus on innovation,
sustainability and cost/waste reduction,” says Shanna Moore, global director of
sustainability – DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers. “We look
forward to entries that demonstrate excellence in addressing these
issues. This is a 25th anniversary year for us, and we are excited about
honoring some of those past winners as well as the winners of this milestone
year.”
The prestigious international jury panel for the 25th DuPont Awards will be
headed by Brian Wagner, vice president, PTIS (a HAVI Global Solutions Direct
Company). The global jury is being formed now and will be posted on our
website. Entry forms and guidelines are available atpackaging.dupont.com.
The deadline
for entries is Feb. 28, 2013.
Packaging designers, converters, consumer goods producers, retailers and
equipment manufacturers from around the world are encouraged to enter new
packaging that has been commercialized since January 1, 2011. There is no
fee for entry and DuPont materials do not need to be in the packaging
structure. In evaluating entries, jurors will consider excellence in one
or more of these areas: innovation, sustainability and cost/waste
reduction. Winners will be announced in May 2013. Information on
the program and past winners is posted on the DuPont Packaging website.
