X-Rite, Incorporated and its wholly owned subsidiary Pantone LLC will showcase their most advanced solutions for measuring and communicating colors in today's complex digital workflows for the prepress, print, publishing and converting industries at the drupa 2012 trade fair to be held May 3-16 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

X-Rite and Pantone representatives will demonstrate how any stakeholder - from brand owner and specifier to designer and pressroom operator - can achieve higher efficiencies and improved quality through standardized and automated workflows, with precise color management solutions. Attendees who visit the X-Rite/Pantone stand D023, Hall 5 will experience hands-on demonstrations of the complete range of products, hear live presentations of case studies and obtain first-hand information on the new solutions.

Building upon Pantone’s expertise as the world’s color authority and X-Rite’s color and science technology leadership, X-Rite and Pantone have launched PantoneLIVE, a dynamic ecosystem that delivers consistent color across the entire packaging workflow - from design concept to retail store shelves.  

U.K.-based subsidiary of food giant H.J. Heinz Co. recently turned to PantoneLIVE to help bring color consistency to its trademark Heinz Beanz turquoise across different substrates.

"Across all of our packaging formats, we saw a reduction in color variance of 50 percent and saved time by establishing one color target that can be applied to all our Heinz Beanz designs," says Nigel Dickie, director of corporate and government affairs for H.J. The new spectrophotometer platforms are equipped with the X-Rite Graphic Arts Standard (XRGA) to make it quicker and easier for companies and professionals involved in digital production printing to adhere to ISO standards and have confidence that data sent or received from all links in the supply chain is reliable and repeatable.
