Flexo Concepts introduces its latest innovation, the TruPoint Orange doctor blade, as a replacement for steel in wide-web applications. Recent advancements in polymer materials and machining capabilities have led to a breakthrough in blade tip design that allows for a finer contact area with the anilox roll:  MicroTip.  TruPoint Orange has proven it can outlast steel up to four times while providing effective metering of line screens up to 2000 LPI at press speeds reaching 1500 f/min.  The material is safer to handle and will not cause anilox scoring.  Released to the U.S. market in 2012, Orange is currently having success at several large OEMs and flexible packaging companies.
