LaserSharp FlexPak Services Offers New Laser Process to Control Gas and Vapor Transmission
November 1, 2013
LaserSharp FlexPak Services has developed a new laser process to allow packaging material to adjust the gas or vapor transmission for a modified atmosphere package, while keeping the package hermetic. The laser process utilizes your current films and makes your packages more breathable. The company says this method has been proven successful to achieve the desirable OTR values targeted to specific needs, without spending extra money on specialty designed films or compromising the integrity of the product. Advanced LaserSharp laser technology is used toward targeted areas of the package, allowing gases and vapors to quickly transmit into the package through the laser-processed area. The laser-treated area makes it possible to increase the transmission rate of gases and vapors within the package, without compromising its other sealed properties.
