Sigma Packaging has been renamed to SIGMA Equipment. The company says the new name reflects its strong position in providing the secondary market with packaging, processing and support equipment.
Having expanded it’s product and service offerings beyond packaging machinery to include processing and support equipment, the company now serves significantly more industry sectors than when Sigma Packaging was founded in 2003. SIGMA Equipment maintains an inventory with more than 200 categories serving the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, health and beauty, consumer goods, and contract packaging sectors.
"The secondary market for packaging and processing equipment has expanded greatly over the last twelve years. We are focused on maintaining our strong growth through continued innovation, value added services, and customer experience," says Rob Palmer, founder of Sigma Packaging (now SIGMA Equipment). "SIGMA Equipment will continue to help both buyers and sellers of used equipment achieve higher ROI faster with greater convenience, while using fewer internal resources."
SIGMA’s website will remain at www.sigmapackaging.com while the new site is under development. The transition from Sigma Packaging to SIGMA Equipment is expected to be complete by August 1.
