The Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre will expand its training offer for 2017. The Comexi CTec will offer a new advanced lamination course in German and a slitting course in English. Additionally, a new gravure course will be offered in Spanish.

Every year, and as a part of its training sessions, the Comexi CTec programs offer around 20 courses for clients concerning different issues related to the different phases in flexible packaging converting, thus enhancing clients’ knowledge and improving competitiveness in their companies.

“We are firmly committed to training and our aim is to become the driving force of knowledge in the flexible packaging sector,” says David Centelles, Comexi CTec director. “Constant training is a key element for our clients so they can strengthen the leadership of their businesses.”

Comexi CTec’s lamination course in German will be the first time that this course, which is also offered in Spanish and in English, will be held in the German language in order to reach more of Comexi’s clients. Just like the Spanish and English editions, which will be also held in 2017, it will be organized as a three-day course with the aim to learn in depth principles of lamination, adhesives and films most used in the process, as well as solutions to solve the most frequent problems.

Also new in 2017 is the advanced slitting course in English. This comes on the heels of a successful first edition of this course, which was offered in Spanish in 2016. During the two-day course, attendees will have the opportunity to gain practical and theoretical knowledge on the main elements that form a slitter, as well as its functions, technical features and capabilities. Furthermore, the training will include proposals of productivity and efficiency studies based on the configuration criteria and the type of cut. Moreover, the course will also deal with market trends in slitting and rewinding.

Comexi includes the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Center, which provides support and knowledge to the various agents involved in the flexible packaging industry process, among its offerings. Since its foundation four years ago, nearly 600 professionals have been trained with the Comexi CTec courses. The University of Girona accredits all sessions as specialization courses with a diploma.
