Constantia Flexibles has added a new 4-color UV flexo press that will start full production at its manufacturing site in Louvain, Belgium, in the second quarter of 2017, supporting customers with small- to medium-sized batches.
The new technology lowers solvent emissions, increases print capacity and can cater to new product areas.
“We are delighted that this update in technology strengthens our sustainable outlook on doing business and signals the introduction of more UV presses for Louvain in the future,” says Pierre-Henri Bruchon, executive vice president of the pharma division.
Constantia Louvain is an integral part of the pharma division’s satellite concept in Europe, using prematerial from larger plants to print and slit foils and laminates for customers located in close proximity to the plant.
Constantia Flexibles’ pharma division operates production sites in Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Vietnam, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
