Orora Packaging Solutions has entered into a strategic partnership with Accu-Label to offer labels and label equipment alongside Orora’s rigid and flexible packaging.
“At Orora, we are constantly looking for better and more efficient ways to grow our business into new markets, whether geographically or with new customer segments,” says Bernie Salvatore, Orora Packaging Solutions president. “Our goal is to provide customer value and differentiation through innovation and service. We are always seeking like-minded companies to partner with. Together we can strengthen our presence in the market.”
In addition to offering customers products such as corrugated trays, clamshells, rigid packaging containers and flexible films, Orora is proud to provide Accu-Label’s specialty fruit labels and label application equipment to create a total packaging solution for the produce packaging industry.
As food systems continue to evolve in a highly globalized and complex network of players, Accu-Label and Ag-Tronic Control Systems (Accu-Label’s design and engineering firm) have remained committed to their pursuit of providing a competitive advantage for customers and increasing efficiencies in packhouses. Since 1991, Ag-Tronic Control Systems has pioneered the development and evolution of machine vision, robotics, and automation solutions in agricultural technology.
Accu-Label's internationally patented ORB-it Labeling system with Print and Apply is in its 11th year of production. Accu-Label is capable of printing GS1DataBar and any other variable data in real-time for a complete traceability solution, down to the item-level. Accu-Label has been a visionary in creating a sustainable labeling solution that minimizes the negative impact on the environment by choosing to produce a biodegradable paper-based label that degrades faster than the plastic label alternatives.
“We are thrilled to partner with Orora through Orora Fresh and Landsberg Orora,” says Accu-Label President Joe Sleiman. “Orora has established a reputation for success by instituting a philosophy that begins and ends with the customer in mind. Orora has a strong presence throughout North America and globally, which opens new sales and service channels.”
