TC Transcontinental Packaging is adding two Windmoeller & Hoelscher VAREX II blown film lines, including one barrier line for its Whitby, Ontario plant. These new lines will support TC Transcontinental Packaging's growth in multilayer barrier films in North America and are scheduled to start up in the fall of 2019.
Using better-engineered, coextruded films with multiple layers may cost more up front, but can save money and increase productivity and profitability in the long run.
