Italian manufacturer Macchi has been actively demonstrating the success of its PolyOlefin Dedicated (POD) 5-layer bubble film extrusion technology.

The POD nickname is becoming familiar to the film extrusion business as a definition for five-layer coextruders specifically dedicated to the production – at high capacity rates – of non barrier structures.

Designed for 450-500 kg/ and still running at the facilities of the Swiss Customer, the Macchi coextruder machines will boost a capacity higher than 800 kg/ with a standard dual lip cooling ring, going well over the 1000 kgh mark with the most recent ring/IBC arrangements.
